Two great flying lessons this week, learning to land (quite important). I love every minute of it and feel very very lucky indeed to be able to do it. I would fly every single day if I could. Despite flying over the same small bit of landscape each lesson, it all looks so different each time, different light, different clouds, sun reflected on puddles, deer grazing, tractors doing "tractor stuff". I'm amazed I've learned anything because there's so much to look at and I'm easily distracted by the beauty of nature. Thank you Graeme Ritchie for your patience! Thank you Grandad for giving me the chance.

Thanks Graeme for making my flight amazing. Breathtaking views of the bridges, and flying over the edinburgh city centre at 80mph was a real thrill. What an experience :) I hope to do it again.

Brilliant time flying the microlight earlier today. Amazing experience and lots of fun. Flew with Graeme who was a great instructor. Views from the air over East Lothian were stunning, will definitely be having another go.

Had a great flight on Tuesday. The staff and facilities at this place are great. After a quick briefing from Graeme we were up in the air in no time. Had a great flight over Edinburgh with spectacular views across the city and coastline. Will definitely visit again when I'm in the area. Thanks guys.

Awwwww what can I say ??? Fab, brill, great, I had a smashing day today at your airfield!! What an experience, have done a few wee ventures parachute jump, hot air balloon, bungee jump to name a few but this was by far the best! Please give my thanks to my instructor who explained everything perfectly and made me feel totally at ease, loved steering round the coast and through all the towns and villages of east lothian! What a way to sight see far better than I imagined even on a hazy day, can't imagine what it would be like on a clear day !! Quality............... !!!

Experience: Extended Microlight Flight from East Fortune, East Lothian Star Rating: ***** Feedback: From start to finish this was an unforgettable experience. The flight instructor, Graeme, could not have been more attentive. I requested a specific route for the flight and Graeme duly obliged, with a detailed commentary along the way. Then the highlight of the trip, taking control of the micro light !! Flying it for approx 30 mins was brilliant !! And to top it all off, a short video of the trip for a further small charge. Many thanks for the kind words. I also would like to thank you for all of your help. I know you had a lot on your plate and you accommodated us seamlessly into everything. Could you also pass on my thanks especially to Gordon, and Graeme. They were absolutely fantastic in keeping calm and relaxed whilst making every effort to give us what we wanted, which I know changed a lot over the course of this film! We couldn't have asked any more from all of you. I spoke to Andy afterwards and he had a really great time, "motorcycle of the sky", I think is what he kept quoting to me.

Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed my microlight flight yesterday. It was an amazing experience & Graeme totally put me at ease when I was slightly nervous to start with. Being allowed to fly it myself was great too (although my upper body strength is a bit pathetic & I ache today!!), but it would be something I'd love to do again, once I have a bit more time to myself. Thanks again.

Jill, I've just about come down to earth after my flight yesterday. It was amazing! Had a fantastic day yesterday flying with Graeme Ritchie, the whole experience was first class from start to finish, including the beautiful weather. All in all I had an absolutely awesome day which sometime in the near future will be repeated, many thanks guys for a memorable day... :-)
Why Do We Do It?
One of our favourite destinations - the Hebridean island of Gigha. Less than a couple of hours flying from East Fortune takes us to another world. No matter which direction we approach from, we arrive over a turquose sea and touch down on the lovely grass airstrip, typically to camp for the night, after a meal and a drink in the Gigha Hotel, a pleasant 20 minute walk from the strip.
