Jill, Just a quick email to say thank you very much to Gordon and Graeme and yourself for the flights on Saturday. We had a great time and were well looked after by Gordon and Graeme. I'll definitely be looking to do it again at some point.

Sarah Curtis, Student Pilot, 11th February 2016

Two great flying lessons this week, learning to land (quite important). I love every minute of it and feel very very lucky indeed to be able to do it. I would fly every single day if I could. Despite flying over the same small bit of landscape each lesson, it all looks so different each time, different light, different clouds, sun reflected on puddles, deer grazing, tractors doing "tractor stuff". I'm amazed I've learned anything because there's so much to look at and I'm easily distracted by the beauty of nature. Thank you Graeme Ritchie for your patience! Thank you Grandad for giving me the chance.

Colin Dorrance, 24th January, 2016

Thanks Graeme for making my flight amazing. Breathtaking views of the bridges, and flying over the edinburgh city centre at 80mph was a real thrill. What an experience :) I hope to do it again.

David Majsterek, 19th October, 2015

Brilliant time flying the microlight earlier today. Amazing experience and lots of fun. Flew with Graeme who was a great instructor. Views from the air over East Lothian were stunning, will definitely be having another go.

Carol Maguire, 5th September, 2015

Just an email from Bill and I to say a huge thank you to eosm especially our pilots Graeme and Gordon. It was an exhilarating, wonderful experience and something We will cherish forever. To tailor our flights and enable us to be in the air together and recorded on video is really special. Many thanks. Continue the great service. Best wishes Carol & Bill.

Matthew Greaves, Student Pilot, 25th April, 2015

One of my better landings, thanks to Graeme Ritchie for his skill as an instructor and his nerves of steel.

Ewan Brewis, Student Pilot on completing his first solo, 21st March , 2015

Hi guys..... thanks for a fantastic day, that was only possible because of ur dedication to passing on ur immense skill and knowledge in a very friendly way to a poor, old, sad farmer!!! Am still as high.... No even higher than my first solo flight thanks, Ewan

Sean O'Neill, Student Pilot, 5th February, 2015

Alan Gee, Student Pilot, 7th January, 2015

Jill .... end by saying to you and Gordon how delighted I am with my learning experience and progress under Graeme's guidance and all his willingness to help over and above the time spent during the lessons.

Had a great flight on Tuesday. The staff and facilities at this place are great. After a quick briefing from Graeme we were up in the air in no time. Had a great flight over Edinburgh with spectacular views across the city and coastline. Will definitely visit again when I'm in the area. Thanks guys.

Awwwww what can I say ??? Fab, brill, great, I had a smashing day today at your airfield!! What an experience, have done a few wee ventures parachute jump, hot air balloon, bungee jump to name a few but this was by far the best! Please give my thanks to my instructor who explained everything perfectly and made me feel totally at ease, loved steering round the coast and through all the towns and villages of east lothian! What a way to sight see far better than I imagined even on a hazy day, can't imagine what it would be like on a clear day !! Quality............... !!!

Gift Experience Scotland Client, 3rd September, 2014

Experience: Extended Microlight Flight from East Fortune, East Lothian Star Rating: ***** Feedback: From start to finish this was an unforgettable experience. The flight instructor, Graeme, could not have been more attentive. I requested a specific route for the flight and Graeme duly obliged, with a detailed commentary along the way. Then the highlight of the trip, taking control of the micro light !! Flying it for approx 30 mins was brilliant !! And to top it all off, a short video of the trip for a further small charge. Altogether, a really fantastic day, thanks Graeme !! Kind regards

Andy Kershaw, Presenter, BBC The One Show, 2nd September, 2014

Jill - Huge thanks to you, Gordon, Graeme and all your friends in the club for making us so welcome during our filming for The One Show. It was huge fun, and the flights were truly exhilarating. Motorcycling in the sky! I could have stayed for a week or more. I'll let you know when the film is to be broadcast - if they bother to tell me before it goes out. We must get young Buster up next time...

Austin Irwin, Researcher, BBC The One Show, 1st September, 2014

Many thanks for the kind words. I also would like to thank you for all of your help. I know you had a lot on your plate and you accommodated us seamlessly into everything. Could you also pass on my thanks especially to Gordon, and Graeme. They were absolutely fantastic in keeping calm and relaxed whilst making every effort to give us what we wanted, which I know changed a lot over the course of this film! We couldn't have asked any more from all of you. I spoke to Andy afterwards and he had a really great time, "motorcycle of the sky", I think is what he kept quoting to me.

Lindsey Ostrowski, 10th August, 2014

Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed my microlight flight yesterday. It was an amazing experience & Graeme totally put me at ease when I was slightly nervous to start with. Being allowed to fly it myself was great too (although my upper body strength is a bit pathetic & I ache today!!), but it would be something I'd love to do again, once I have a bit more time to myself. Thanks again.

Fiona Brannan, 29th July, 2014

Jill, I've just about come down to earth after my flight yesterday. It was amazing! Graeme was a fantastic pilot - very knowledgable about what we were seeing and very enthusiastic to show me as much as possible within our allocated time. I have been boasting about my experience on Facebook and lots of my jealous friends want to have a go. Please pass on my gratitude to Graeme. Regards

Brian Thomson, 24th July, 2014

Had a fantastic day yesterday flying with Graeme Ritchie, the whole experience was first class from start to finish, including the beautiful weather. All in all I had an absolutely awesome day which sometime in the near future will be repeated, many thanks guys for a memorable day... :-)

Why Do We Do It?

One of our favourite destinations - the Hebridean island of Gigha. Less than a couple of hours flying from East Fortune takes us to another world. No matter which direction we approach from, we arrive over a turquose sea and touch down on the lovely grass airstrip, typically to camp for the night, after a meal and a drink in the Gigha Hotel, a pleasant 20 minute walk from the strip.
